
There are three words or phrases often used in cover letters or interviews to limit your audience’s confidence.
I Hope: “I hope you will consider me for the Intern Assistant position with your company.”
Instead, say: “I am confident in my abilities to contribute if chosen for the Intern Assistant position.”
I Hope: “I hope to hear from you soon.”
Instead, say: “I look forward to hearing from you.”
Would: “My experience as a social media coordinator and my degree in Communications would qualify me for this job.”
Instead, say: “My education and experience as a social media coordinator have built an extensive skill set matching the desired qualifications.”
Do Not “I do not have any experience in sales yet.”
Instead, say: “I am eager to learn and gain experience in sales.”
